What is the Speed Sprint option? What are the benefits?

Modified on Fri, 19 May 2023 at 05:14 PM

Speed Sprint has been developed to address the possibility of wifi latency effect causing arming issues in a drill where velocities are very high, and gates are close together. this issue can be seen as a get not being armed before the athlete arrival. It can be noticeable in bust wifi environments, but not always.

In normal operation, gates are ‘enabled’ sequentially, with target gate being lit green immediatley after the prior gate has been triggered.

In Speed Sprint mode, all gates are arned , pre-test start. You will note that all gates will have Green light flashng indciating the armed state. As each gate is triggerd the Green light extinguishes. In this way the issue of wifi latency is avoided.

Speed sprint mode should be used on any straight sprint test.
