The Swift gates are "Internet of things" devices, or IOT as they say. This means we operate in a wireless band where hundreds of other devices are competing just in a local environment. In a convention centre or sports arena there will be thousands.
We have all expereinced Wifi that is slow, laggy, or even non working. This is why when designed Wifi, had 11 channels to select from, as the designers foresaw the probability of issues caused by increasing adoption of Wifi technology.
Clearly today, this is not enough, but its all we have available in the 2.4Ghz Wifi band. Thats all the the orignal 802.11 specification allowed for, and thats all Swift UNO and DUO gates can access.
Hence, the introduction by industry of 5G Wifi to amelorate these issues .....and now 6G wifi is coming too. The wifi world is just getting busier and busier.
I pulled the chart below from https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Year-Wise-Growth-of-Internet-of-Things-IoT-Connected-Devices_fig2_374764816

You can clearly see that the number of devices is increasing exponentially, hence Telco companies switching to 4G then 5G etc. Consumers understand that and swap out their phones every 3 years or so. I know that in my own home, I had to replace our router with a 5G mesh system to get things working.
You might find other timing gates that don't seem affected by Wi-Fi congestion. That will simply be because they are operating on an entirely different wireless system.
Lower price systems generally operate on simpler 433khz technology. What we like to call "Garage Door opener" technology. These gates generally do not have software correction for invalid triggers like leading arms etc. They do not allow reactive COD drills. they do not let you run YOYO tests.
I could go on, but there is no point.
These are the reasons you purchased Swift in the first place.
You will find that with an understanding of wifi traffic in your area, and careful selection of a wifi channel

(Change your Wifi Channel ) via trial and error, you should find a channel that gives acceptable results.
The Solution
The release of Swift's new G4 gates includes a new communication channel we call SwiftAir.
SwiftAir is a propriety system that operates outside the wifi frequencies and offers superlative connection and radio noise immunity. We still include WiFi connectabilty should you wish to mix these gates with older UNO and DUO gates.
