Why is Ezejump better than others

Modified on Mon, 2 Jun at 9:06 AM

We are often asked about Ezejumps Premium pricepoint.

The simple answer, is that is a premium product, designed to one thing perfectly.

  • Ezejump is bigger, making it much easier for athletes to achieve max jumps because they aren’t focussed on landing on a small target.
  • Others connected by a cable
  • Others are not not bilateral so they can’t look at left and right contacts times like Ezejump
  • Others a low-cost switch mat that’s been designed for door entry switching or machine safety. Accuracy in timing is not its forte.

ACCURACY AND HOW SWIFT DELIVERS IT
To better explain the issue with low accuracy of timing on a contact mat, read on…….
Having a mat that turns OFF fast , when the athlete launches, is critical.
It’s pretty easy to make a switching mechanism fast when a 180lb athlete lands on it. The issue is that when the athlete leaves the mat, it MUST turn-off instantaneously.
If this is not the case , the mat will report long contact times. This means it will also report short flight times.
In the end you get lower jump heights, and your RSI calculations will give erroneous results.
Ezejump has been independently validated against force plates by Edith Cowan University, and Optojump in our own labs.

I hope that explains the price difference. We make scientific instruments. Good ones.
