People sometimes mistake the added difficulty of aligning gates (particulalry UNO as they have no laser alignment helper) when outddors.
The obvious thing to blame is the sunllight, when in fact, our sensors are impervious to sunlight.
The tips below should help you enormously.
Be patient, get to know your system, and you'll quickly master aligmnet.
- UNO gates which do NOT have a laser target alignment feature. DUU gates do.
- You will know from using gates indoors that the gates beep when you move onto the reflector, and beep again when you move off. The secret of course is to find that sweet-spot, where you get one beep, but not the second.
- Always align a gate by moving the gate, NOT the reflector.
- Get down low behind the gate and you will get a glimpse of red as the laser hits the reflector.
- DO NOT where polarized sunglasses as you will see nothing.
Try agin with this in mind and you'll find your gate will align perfectly.
