Change your Wifi Channel

Modified on Mon, 06 Nov 2023 at 08:07 AM

If you are experiencing erratic behaviors with your timing gate operation, the likely cause is Wi-Fi latency due to congestion on the channel that Syncro has automatically selected.

Syncro is setup by default to automatically choose one of the 11 available Wi-Fi channels.
For reasons unknown, it may be choosing a less than optimal channel, and setting this manually will more than often resolve the issue.
If you have a PC with Microsoft Wi-Fi Analyzer installed you can see which channels are in use and also where the Swift network is setup.

In Syncro >Options You will see a 'Select Wi-Fi channel' option that will be , by default set to 'Auto' . Set this to different channel number, and then connect the gates, and re-run the test.

NOTE: You need to reboot all gates when you make a channel change.
